Our lodge (Gold Country Lodge #2705 Order sons of Italy in America) started in 1996. That following year and each year after this will be our 13 annual Crab feed. Our monies go to Scholarships each year within our county, Birth defects, Alzheimer's research at UC davis,Cancer research, and Cooley's anemia Foundation.

We also "adopt" needy family during the holiday season and furnish them with clothing, gifts and food goods.

We help start and continue to help Oak Ridge High School with the Italian Language class so far we have given them over $14,000.00. The past two years we have gone to the school at Christmas time with goodies and meet with the students.

We meet at Silva Valley School in the Gym every 3rd Tuesday of the Month have dinner go over business. Some of the acivitives we do are each year we have our annual convention, various locations with California and Nevada, and this past year we have made an outing at Apple hill and also have had a bocce ball tournament.

We have members that are of Italian heretage and Social Members that are not, Members age from 20's to 80's we all blend nicely.

Come to our Annual Crab feed January 24th at the EDH CSD bar opens at 5 PM dinner at 7PM with music by Bill Chiechi and the Funatics.
