Democrats Fiddle, America Burns, World Turns

Yes folks, the libs are at it again.

Today, the House Judiciary Committee subpoenaed Karl Rove to ask him about attorney firings.

Nothing about the fiscal fiasco.

As they have done time and time again since assuming power in Congress in the 2006 elections, to the historical first BLACK President's election, nothing seems to be done about the mess Barney Frank and other democrats created.

In other fiscal fiasco news, Citigroup, former employer of Clinton loyalist Robert Rubin, bought a $50million dollar airplane. No word yet from the democrat Congress but you can bet they are lining up for a free ride.

Moving right along, Fannie Mae asks for another $16 billion dollars in emergency bailout money. Nancy Pelosi has not been available for a statement. Barney Frank has bent over backwards to avoid this as well.

In other news, first BLACK President Barack 0bama gives his first TV interview since being inaugurated; to the Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television network. I guess middle eastern Islam is more important than the fiscal fiasco in America to the White House, as well as Congress.

Elsewhere in the middle east, Afghanistan accuses America of killing 18 civilians in a bombing strike.

First Black President, Barack 0bama declines to hold a press conference, and Congress has yet to initiate war crimes investigations. Stay tuned for that.....

What can you say to this? common_rascist returns with his "tour de farce".

Good God. Where did he get his education? His ability to reason? He takes a bunch of unrelated dots and draws a line through them.

You couldn't wait even two weeks to start the attacks, huh?

Miuwtant: You have to admit, CS might not have posted this had the DoNothings not subpoenaed Rove.

Seems like their lack of priority might have brought it on.

You should go after the DoNothings.

Miuwtant: yeah, all those hearings on steroids in baseball got us where ?

Katrina hearings helped stave off what fiscal fiasco ?

too bad you cannot connect the dots, let me do it here

early in the first GWB administratoin, GWB asks Congress to oversee banks and financial instutitions better

fearingn especially Fannie and Freddie and Wall Street Investment bansk are underregulated

Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Chris Dodd stall with "the race card"

Enron erupts, Bush descides that he needs to do what he can, ensuring Enrons crooks, and enablers at Arthur Anderson are held accountable, convictions result, companies fold, billions still lost - but Clinton should have done this as ALL the crimes began on his watch

Worldcom, Tyco, Global Crossing, Adelphia and other corporate shenanigans exposed by Bush DOJ

Barney Frank is letting his roomate run a male escort service from his apartment

Maxine Waters uses race card again

and on and on

enter Alan Greenspan - he too tries to get Congress to act, Republicans move to conduct hearings, democrats again use the race card, Republicans again shrink away with their tails between their legs

......and here we are......

fast forward to 2006 elections, baseball hearings, Katrina hearings, etc.....

say - you don't remember any Hurricane Andrew hearings do you ?

Hurricane Mitch?

1999 Cape Fear floods ?

ever see Gingrich conduct hearings on Clinton blowing up milk factories, aspirin factories and other non-military targets in Africa and the Middle East ?

no, of course not, Republicans are not out to destroy America, like democrats

Rational: you hit it on the head, the democrats' priority is to try to embarass, harrass or jail the right

very totalitarian of them

I bet "revered leader" 0bama is glowing with approval

What a hard core racist nut. Karl Rove should be more than subpoenaed, he should be in prison. Do you remember when Rove,Gingrich and Delay all said we need to have deregulation now? How soon we forget. Moving right along, GWB bankrupts the USA. Moving right along, US Banks and Wall Street = owned and operated by republicans take down the USA by their greed. Moving wright along, All Enron officials are good friends of GWB. CS says Afghan. accuses US of killing 18 civilians in air strike, GWB kills 500.000 civilians in Iraq. Seems like he has something in for Barney. I think he could use some blood pressure pills and get a life.

glennmeadowvista: excellent use of the race card comrade

revered leader and his minions would be proud of you

but I was not one of the voters of the historic first black President

I merely noted the historic precedent of the first black President

and what the first black President means to the world

but sure, republicans wanted de-regulation, though I don't have any word on whether Rove had any say on that

not holding elective office anyway, but facts don't seem too important to you anyway

but they did not want the Community reinvestment Act that Carter and that era of democrats brought us

and Fannie and Freddie are not typical capitalist enterprises anyway, but nice try using them - but again, like all liberal arguments, it backfires on you

facts are facts, they caused the meltdown, and they were run by democrats as a personal piggy bank

though I see you pretty much ignored the civilian deaths and tossed out a wild 500,000 figure (which is completely false, GWB killed no one)

but now that your guy in in the White House, use of the American military is just peachy

but the rest of your post is flattery, thank you

your imitation of my elegant and unique style is not the best but keep trying and you'll get there

but pay taxes for a few decades and it will accumulate the wisdom a bit faster, trust me

YOUR NUTS,

"do-nothing Congress"? A quote from Trent Lott :"..the strategy of being obstructionist can work or fail. So far it's working for us".

Barney Frank doesn't usually bend over backwards, that's going the wrong way. Couldn't resist that one.

UhHuh, please, be more specific, state a date when referring to a quote so we have the context

but just for kicks, say he was obstructing Hillary's socialised health care scheme or a tax hike or surrender to Iran again (think Jimmy Carter) - then I would say being an obstruction is a good thing as those were all bad ideas

if you're talking Barney Frank, etc using the race card to obstruct oversight into fannie/freddie - bad, bad, bad

loomis: you sure that's true ? got any proof to back that up ? I'm not sure I am behind that theory

I just don't make the connection

glenn: excellemt post, pithy and to the point

nothing says "moron" more than a short post of only two word, and a mispelling

sure, we all misspell in a long post, but to do it in two words might be some kind of record

and you get extra comrade coupons for improper punctuation

(comrade coupons are soon-to-be-announced 0bama money-equivalent)

redeemable at the store, like food stamps, you know, like, free money dude

"and you get extra comrade coupons for improper punctuation" c-s, you must have one heck of stack of coupons, eh?

c_s: April 18, 2007. In only the first HALF of the congressional session, they broke the record for obstruction (forcing a cloture vote) during a session with a whole year to spare...
