Colfax High French students recently learned the history and customs of two important French celebrations - Mardi Gras and Chandeleur, both celebrated in February. Here the students are seen making Mardi Gras masks and learning to make crepes, as is the tradition in France on Chandeleur. Legend has it that it brings good luck and prosperity to flip the crepe with one hand, while holding a coin in the other, without dropping the crepe! Many of the students met this challenge successfully!
