Placer High Functional Skills classes hit the South Fork of the America River
The Functional Skills classes at Placer High lead by teachers Heather Snow and Katy Fries pilled into rafts with the help of the wonderful guides from Sierra WhiteWater for a trip down the South Fork of the American River. With the assistance of staff members, parents and other family members, they floated safely from Coloma to Camp Lotus. The students were wonderful and had FUN FUN FUN. What a great learning experience this was!

Linda,
It was nice to meet you at Camp Lotus.
I came home with about twenty mosquito bites on my back after sitting around the campfire for five hours. Those pests were biting me right through my shirt! That was the only place on my body I couldn't spray bug repellent. Ouch!
These are nice photos, but I don't believe Ben Furtado has anything to worry about. ;-)
