Placer’s Freshman girl’s volleyball team opened up the Pioneer Valley League (PVL) season with a win against Mesa Verde 25-7, 25-5. The Hillgals serving was just too hot to handle for Mesa: Kirsten Schauble went 17/18 (7 aces), Libby Anderson went 15/15 (4 aces), and Olivia Holmes went 20/24 (5 aces). Kirsten Schauble also had 6 assists, 2 kills and Alyssa Prior also contributed with 3 kills. The Hillgals will play Bear River on Tuesday September 22nd, at Bear River at 4 p.m.
