Bloggersmeet/Bloggerscoffee – October 6th at 7:00pm
Okay all of you that are reading this – we will be holding our next Bloggersmeet or Bloggerscoffee next Tuesday evening at Starbucks (Elm Center) at 7:00pm. Now, your assignment is: 1. Attend (smiles preferred, but not mandatory) 2. Bring a favorite book to exchange (we did this a couple of months ago and it was great fun) 3. Sit next to someone that you don’t know 4. Yak your head off 5. HAVE FUN!!!!! Will we see you there? Greg Calac has said that he will be on parole and on his best behavior that evening. (Don’t get too excited, his best behavior really isn’t much) Actually his parole officer is scheduled to accompany him as well. Don’t get Greg started on the whole medical marijuana thing – he’ll never stop talking about it. We’re hoping to see Birch and his MUCH better half Lady Observer as well. I’m hoping that Chuxx will also be there just so he can see that I don’t ride a high horse ;-) Rumor has it that Loomisresident may come by if he can get his kayak out of the water by 7pm. And that Skeptic and his alter ego Rational_Thinker will be there in drag – you gotta come just to see that. I personally think that Skeptics little blue number shows off his best attributes. Maybe Gail will come and bring her lovely children. Canyon_Rat will be there, you’ll recognize her with the “Vote for McClintock-2nd Term” button on. Patrick25 is coming with his “I voted for Obama/Biden” shirt on – you’ve gotta love it.
So, will you join us? That’s Starbucks (Zionistbucks for Birch) on Elm Ave. at 7pm on Tuesday, October 6th. Be There!!!!!

I was just browsing the internet typing in some of my favorite word combinations, such as "Fun-Coffee", and Bob's blog popped up. Weird.
Bob: I'm actually going to visit Greg right now.... visiting hours are between six and seven. (I'd like to throw some "conjugal visit" and "sugar-shack" around - but that would be inappropriate)
See you at Zionist-bucks. ;)
We have symphony practice at 7pm over at the highschool, but I don't play on the first piece so I can pop by for a little bit. I really want to see Skeptic in his blue chiffon. I'll b sure to wear my jack boots.
Did I hear someone say coffee? ChuxxR didn't like the last book that I brought. I figure that it wasn't conservative enough for him. I promise to do better next time ChuxxR I promise. See y'all there.
We will be there. I would love to see Loomis, Canyonrat, our dear friend Skeptic, along with all the regulars. Yosemite...if you are out there, please join us. No one will throw coffee at you :-) We actually have a lot of fun and there isn't one of us that we don't like, even when disagree on the blogs
I don't think I should be out in public. I'm schizophrenic and Yosemite_Prospector me will try to annoy the crap out of Guru me. A most unpleasant experience, I assure you.
Drat! I was so dying to model my new autumn ensemble with matching shoes and handbag, and accessories -- including a vintage "Curtis LeMay for President" button. No, you weren't, you liar!
- Yes, I was too!
- Weren't!
- Was so!
- Liar!
- Fornicator!
(...see what I mean?)
Birch,
I think I saw you as you were leaving the jail after you visited Greg. You had this huge grin on your face and I couldn't figure out why until the deputy mentioned to me about your visit and subsequent strip-search (hence the grin). I baked a cake for Greg with a wire saw in it, and you guessed it - he ate it. He then continually set off the metal detectors until he, well, ...... "processed the problem" and in this Family Newspaper the rest must go un-described. Just don't bring up the whole medical marijuana thing - not a good topic for him. Also, the conjugal visit thing you wrote about, please reconsider - because of his advanced age, coupled with his very poor health means that it your kindness may cause a major medical event for poor poor Greg.
Hope to see you and especially Lady Observer at Zionistbucks next Tuesday evening.
bob
Skeptic,
Not ready for "Primetime"? Give it a try! You just may like it - or maybe tolerate it. If you come by, you can sit by Greg and annoy the daylights out of him. Our, if your schizophrenia flares up, you can just sit by yourself and enjoy your own company. Come along in the Autumn Ensemble and knock our socks off.
See you then,
Bob
Skeptic - I doubt seriously, that Yosemite will show up. He's way too verbal in a way that he may not be ready to reveal himself. Of course, if you don't feel prepared to model on the runway...it is perfectly understandable. These fashion critics are very persnickity :-)
Skeptic,
Last time this group assembled we met lonewolf. However, he didn't reveal his true identity for at least an hour after we had all arrived.
Yes, last night Birch, ChuxxR, and Lady Observer came to visit me in the lock-up. I am very appreciative of their thoughtfulness.
Lori Calac: It was nice to meet you last night. It's good to know Greg wasn't just pretending he was married so he wouldn't appear as lonely and desperate as we all thought he was. ;)
Oh yes, I bet Skeptic looks fabulous in fall hues as well, it is much too late in the year for blue chiffon, what was I thinking?
Gail - You are perfectly right -- autumn is generally devoted to earth colors; subdued greens, tans and browns. Blue chiffon is out except for a junior high prom. Never for afternoon coffee (even at Zionbux) unless you're going for a 1950s retro look.
Is there anything Greg needs? Cigarettes? Tattoo ink? Vaseline? Digital pocket scale?
Skeptic,
Don't send those items to Greg - those are the last things that he needs, he already smokes like a chimney, is all tatted up, we're trying an intervention on him that means he won't need that scale anymore and the vaseline - DON'T GO THERE!!!!!
We're trying to get him on an improvement plan that will bring up his daily behavior acceptable to his former biker gang - getting kicked out of the gang for bad behavior was a low point in his life. Skeptic, think REHAB for poor Greg - don't add to his filthy disgusting and disturbing habits.
Bob
Get him the box sets of Leave it to Beaver and the Andy Griffith Show. They'll either fix what's broken or push him farther and farther down his slide into madness. Either way it'll be fun to watch.
Skeptic,
All those items you mentioned are readily available inside, but thanks for asking.
What I really long for is a pack of Ho Ho's and a Diet Coke (in the plastic bottle)!
Greg,
Ho Ho's and a Diet Coke - what a party guy you are! Are you still scheduled to be released early for Tuesday evening @ 7pm for the Bloggersmeet at Starbucks? (zionbux) Please remember, they don't serve methadone there, so dose up before you come Greg.
Skeptic will be wearing his fall ensemble with all of the accessories - very chic!
Gail will stop by on the way to the sym-phony
Patrict25 will be wearing his "I Voted For Hope and Change" t-shirt - gotta love it
Birch will be wearing the "Sticking it to the Man since 1972" t-shirt
Observer will be be her pleasant and lovely self and make everyone wonder - Birch, really??
CA04 Voter will have a humungous cup of coffee and you'll recognize his smile, even if he has crumbs in his beard
Chuxx will be there looking for my high horse and spouting conservative platitudes - he is a Reagan Republican, of course
And Greg, poor Greg - if he didn't have bad luck, he'd have no luck at all.
Loomis will be wearing his t-shirt that says: "I Kayak, Therefore I Am"
And of course self-rightous uber-liberal Bob Capp will be there just boring the daylights out of anyone who is sitting in earshot to him
Why do't YOU join us?? It will be as much fun that you can legally have within the city limits. See you there!
Capp,
I've seen plenty of crazy-fun in my lifetime, and it aint all it's cracked up to be. Ho ho's and Diet Coke are as far out on the edge as I'm willing to go these days. Oh, except for the occasional REGULAR Coke!
Awl sea yew at ZionistBucks won whey oar anudder cum seben pee em.
I just got back from vacation. I almost missed this. What would ya’ll do without me? I’ll be there. Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some new bloggers. YS, come on out. It’s a great time and as long as Birch is around, the City Police stay close by, along with the helicopter. ;)
BTW, I had the pleasure of meeting Loomis before. He is a true gentleman. I hope you come out for the meeting Loomis. I’d love to have some good conversation with you, and I know there are many here that would love to meet you.
Pat25.5,
I'd like to meet anyone who decides to show up, but I'd especially like to meet: Loomisresident, Fourgen, Salamander, CanyonRat, Pollywog, JozephPelikan (and his dad, can't remember his name this second), kittyv, glennmeadowvista, 2049er, Skeptic, Yosemite_Sam, Analyst, Auburnative, and any one of the other 4k "users" of the AJ blogesphere.
Miuwtant, I'd like to see you as well if you think you can make it.
Greg, I, too, would love to meet more of the regulars. I have tried to convince Kittyv to show up in the past, but I think she is a little shy. I really enjoyed meeting Lant last time. I look forward to meeting anyone who shows; it’s always a great time. See you tonight.
