Pleasant Ridge Charter Pubic Hearing on Tuesday

On Tuesday, Nov. 17th at 7:00, there will be a public hearing about converting Pleasant Ridge into a Charter School. The focus of this school will be Science and Agriculture. Starting this spring, the Nevada County Certified Growers Market will be on campus after school on Mondays, and we would like to offer a summer ag & equestrian program. There would also be a dedicated science laboratory. The alternative to this is closing this great school (for 50 years), and putting the students into Alta Sierra and Cottage Hill.

If you or anyone that you know would be interested in attending this small (220 students), spacious (13 acres), Charter school, with fantastic teachers, please attend this public hearing before the school board. It will be held at the District Office, near Lake of the Pines, at 22580 Kingston Lane (49 to Combie, stay left and it turns to Magnolia. Drive past Bear River High School, Magnolia Middle School, and turn left as soon as you pass Cottage Hill School. Park in the Cottage Hill lot and walk to the building to the right of Cottage Hill, the District Office.
