Gov, should stay in California

While our governor is in Iraq lifting weights California continues to suffer economically. Businesses continue to close and workers are laid off or furloughed and more people are becoming homeless because of foreclosures. He needs to be here working on solutions for the sake of people living in this country. Government involvement is essential. The welfare of the people in this state should be his top priority, not foreign excursions. He can take a trip (he can afford it) next year, when he gets out of office. But for now, he needs to stay in this state and focus his attention on helping the people in this state.

No Allen, "government involvement" is the problem.

But yes, the governor should stay - in Iraq.

Well, the governor made a nice stop in Iraq on his way "home", so what? Why can't the Governor of California, on a personal trip abroad, make this small contribution to boost troop morale without criticism?

Besides, Allen, the governator is pretty much hamstrung by the Democrats who dominate our state legislature. Everything that he's tried to bring the state spending under control has been run into the ground by union backed propaganda.

I can't wait for a Democrat to be elected governor again so there will be no way to excuse-away the reason our state finances are abysmal.

Some people want him here, some what him to leave. What's a bodybuilder/actor/governor to do? I'm with Greg, what's it matter? Here or there, there is not much that is going to change at this point. I'm sure he has a blackberry (or whatever the latest phone gadget is), can't he just run the state with that?

GregC; I agree with you up until your last sentence. Even if it happens that a Dem. is elected our problem will still be Bushes fault. NO, NO, let me correct that it will be McClintocks fault... NO, NO, let me correct that it will be Doolilttles fault. NO, NO, let me correct that it will be Wilsons fault................................................................................................ :)

Chase2u, It would be much easier just to say it's all the republicans fault.

Greg

Arnold was not hamstrung when he was stumping for a ten billion dollar bond for high speed rail or a ten billion bond for the peripheral canal. Steinberg is in charge while he is gone and I don't see a difference. It is actually a good metaphor for his entire time in office.

Allen, How about Obama's Olympic Trip?

Did Arnold pay for his tour and his entourage travel expenses? I mean he must have right? Going to his home town and all.

A little reasearch and wa-lah. The gov's trip abroad is paid for by California Protocol Foundation a nonprofit CHARITY that opposes solutions to environmental issues. He wasn't on state business so what does he owe for his trip? Zero, nothing, nada. Who does he owe for the trip? Special interests. And to think this non-profit, charitable organization is tax deductible but does no CHARITY other than to launder money for Arnies personal business.

Who paid for Obama's trip.

Jon, the American people pay for Obama's trip. In case you don't remember he is POTUS, he must travel abroad to represent.

Greg, I have to agree with your post except the last part. If a Democrat is elected Governor with the present Legislative make up God help the working men and women in this State. They will be taxed out of house and home, businesses will close and relocate elsewhere and the exodus will begin. Might as well give the State back to Mexico, we'll have a much better chance of surviving.

Chuxxr, who paid for Barack and Michelle's date in New York? When is too much, too much? Let's see, Both Air Force Ones, the C-5, the two Marine Choppers (Marine 1 and 2), armored limos. Wow, that was an expensive dinner and Broadway show, wouldn't you say? Oh yes, he's the POTUS and Arnie is the Governor of the world's 7th largest economy.

I guess what it boils down to is that if you are a Democrat you condemn what the Republicans do and if you are a Republican you condemn what the Democrats do. Do you see now why this country is screwed up? Common sense has long left the building, no point in looking for it, it's long gone.

loomis, Arnie has no business traveling abroad on a trip paid for by special interests. Now he's going to come home and what, ignore them?

This is about Schwarzenegger and who he serves. By your own logic you are a Republican and a rabid one at that (:-P

ChuxxR,

loomis is about the most reasonable person who regularly posts on this board. He is neither rabid in his beliefs or his comments.

In following a time-honored tradition between you and I; I think you owe loomis an apology. ;-)

Glennmeadowvista,

I'm glad you have no trouble saying what every Democrat thinks. I'm also truly glad you have a great sense of humor, most of the time. :-)

What's that? I think I hear the mindless braying of a socialist sheep? Oh...it's just Allen again. Move along.

Don’t hold your breath, Greg. That is one guy that refuses to apologies for anything. Loomis is one of the most respectful and reasonable guys that post here. I know, Loomis, that you just consider the source, but I still felt compelled to come and support you. I know you don’t need it, however. :)

Pat25.5,

Yeah, I know, I'm not holding it.

Really, ChuxxR is a good guy. Sometimes he's bored and looking to stir up controversy. Well, quite often he's bored........

A while back we got into a fake pissing contest over which of us would apologize first about, I don't remember what. We both got a laugh out of it in the end.

Hey, Greg, it was great to meet your BETTER half the other day. :)

Greg this string is about Arnold Schwarzenegger and his trip on the behalf of private interest. The "California Protocol Foundation is a nonprofit CHARITY that opposes solutions to environmental issues." Arnie is their agent/lobbyist/tool.

LR chose to misdirect and threw out the "O" name for example. Like it's relevant. I chose to point this out.

Loomis, sorry I called you rabid.

P50stfu

ChuxxR,

Fine, you've made your point. But loomis had his point to make as well.

Just because his thoughts took him away from your point does not make his comment any less relevant to this thread.

Pat25.5,

See, ChuxxR is man enough to apologize to loomis.

Yeah, I take her out once in a while so people I run into realize I have a real legitimate life away from this board.

Actually, now that I think about it, that might be why she takes me out! :0

I am happy to say that I stand corrected, even if he did post a vial comment directed to me, subsequently. I think I got the “fu” part, but what does the “st” stand for? :)

Hmmmmf! I don't know.

If you don't know what it is he's saying you can just put in anything you want.

P50stfu = Patrick50stillthefununcle

P50stfu = Patrick50sometoughfellowuberblogger

P450stfu = Patrick50staytruefellowurbanite

I don't know; use your imagination!

Greg, You are too funny. I won’t bore you with my creativity. :)

p50 - I will translate for you: Shut the f up.

stay tuned for updates?

Wow! Bastiat, thank you, I honestly didn’t know what that stood for. Chuxx, I know we only met once, but I think you already know me well enough to know there is no chance of that. You’re way too fluffy to make that happen.

you are welcome.

Might makes right?

Right on, ChuxxR!

Thank you Bastiat.

Well, it works for my Mother-in-law.
