Advent Meditation - Day 22
We always make the fatal mistake of thinking that it is what we do that matters, when really what matters is what we let God do to us. God sent the angel to Mary, not to ask her to do something, but to let something be done. Since God is a better artisan than you, the more you abandon yourself to Him, the happier He can make you. "O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." - Isaiah 64:8

Observer,
This is good, but it's much more complex than simple faith in God.
This concept goes to the heart of "interactive faith".
The belief that God is alive and able to produce a change in the life of men/women which achieves His purpose.
I've got to hand it to you, Greg - you don't come across as a particularly brilliant theologian... or even brilliant... or even half smart in person, but gosh dangit if you can't grasp and elucidate complex theological abstracts into simple, coherent statements. You're alright, buddy. :)
Greg - ...very well said, my friend :-)
This is what I call the "well, then" question.
Well,......if you believe in God and accept the things that He stands for.......
.......then what's your reasonable response?
American culture dares to perpetually ignore the question.
Birch,
This being an Advent Meditation post by Observer, I'll leave my snarkiness tied up outside.
