Advent Meditation - Day 28 - Last Day
THE WAY TO PEACE - What Christ did in his own human nature in Galilee, he is doing today...in every city and hamlet of the world where souls are vivified by his Spirit. He is still being born in other Bethlehems of the world, still coming into his own and his own receiving him not, still instructing the learned doctors of the law and answering their questions, still laboring at a carpenter's bench, still "going about doing good" (See Acts 10:34-43), still preaching, governing, sanctifying, climbing other Calvaries, and entering into the glory of his Father.
"Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors!" - Luke 2:14

Way to go, Observer. God knows I had my doubts as to your ability to follow through on this endeavor... good to see I was wrong.
P.S. I wont tell anyone that I helped you a couple of those days. Mum's the word.... ;)
I too am glad that Birch was wrong - thanks for the gift of beauty and peace.

"Last day", thank God. I'm sorry but, I don't even read the blogs anymore, It's turned into a religious retreat sight.
Ah, Analyst... you're comment betrays you. Apparently you do read the blogs... :)
Analyst,
Everyone has their favorite reason for coming here. I'm sorry you don't seem to appreciate the peaceful exchange these Advent Meditations have provided.
Maybe there will be some juicy topic coming up in the near future that will allow for some good ole' rantin' and ravin'.
Until then, best wishes to you for the New Year.
Birch, I meant the religious ones. They've taken up so much blog space lately that it got a little annoying. I read the title "last day" and went right to comments.
Greg, that "good ole' rantin' and ravin'" is done by the same folks who write the religious blogs as well.
Happy new year to you too.
Analyst,
You're right. I don't think being interested in spiritual topics exempts a person from occasional ranting and raving. We all have our topics that bring out some passion.
greg, and you're right as well. I don't think not being interested in spiritual topics exempts one from an opinion. Everyone has sat quietly while Birch and Observer have hijacked this blog sight. Now it's time for someone else to have turn.
Analyst,
You're kidding, right? No one can hijack this site.
Birch and Observer have consistently put up something of interest to many of us, however, even at that, there was recently about two months when Birch ceased from posting anything. So, I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Anyone can post on this site. If you don't like spiritual topics then put up something you are interested in.
Let's see what you got! ;-)
Analyst - My commitment is to God Himself...with all things. There isn't a human being dead or alive that can change that. He, like us, respects the free-will of every human being. I would be a liar if I didn't say out loud that there are serious consequences, either way, no matter what decisions we make. I am not an evangelist, do not have the gifts, nor do I want to be one and that irritates those who think I should be. Having said that, there are those who look at these mediations as a gift to them, as I do, from those whose cup I drink from. If you find the water not suitable to your liking, then this well is not for you...it is all good :-)
